Our Burlington, WI patients speak out on their chiropractic success with Dr. Bruesewitz and Bruesewitz Chiropractic and Rehab!
Dr Troy saw me today for the first time. I suffered from a bad work injury 2 weeks ago that involved severe contusions on my ribs and "side" whiplash. I haven't been able to exist without chronic, debilitating pain since this had happened. I took a step in the right direction today and am eager for my next (unfortunately) several treatments. He was very kind, professional, thorough, and understanding. He took extra time to explain my X-rays to me and knew exactly where my pain was located as soon as the adjustment process started. I look forward to feeling better with his help and knowledge! I'm so glad my myo-therapist forced me into seeing him today!
Hi, just want to say how Dr. Troy recommended the small square pillow under my back to sleep at night and I wake up pain free. The doggie pillow I use to watch tv and is so relaxing, I highly recommend the pillows. You will be so happy.
When I came to Troy I was in the worst of shapes. I could hardly stand let alone walk. Driving my car was nearly impossible
Painful but it really helped and that is all that matters... am going to do it again soon..... It was only painful because I waited toooooo long to go to see him in the first place..... He always makes me feel sooooo much better... Thanks Dr. Troy
I had my first visit with Bruesewitz chiropractic and I was impressed. The time that was spent with me and everything that was explained, from diet to spine and joint issues, was phenomenal. I would recommend Bruesewitz Chiropractic to all my friends and family
Dr Bruesewitz is great! And so is his staff! Michelle, Gina and Bonnie are all soooo friendly and compassionate. I enjoy walking in the door and feeling welcome. I miss seeing them on a regular basis. I Came to Dr Brez for cronic migraines so severe it would often drop me to my knees in an instant. Since seeing him I have only had one occasion of that severe a headache. It has now been 4 months and I have seen great improvements in my migraines. Fewer days immobile in bed and much more tolerable when I do get them.
When I was about 11 years old, I began having headaches which soon progressed into migraines. They soon began interfering with my attendance at school, making me miss several days each month due to migraines that were so painful I couldn’t think, much less function. As I got older, the pain and frequency of the migraines just got worse, leading me to have headaches 3-5 times a week and a day surrendered to a crippling migraines about once every other week. Now that it was affecting both work and school, I visited several migraine clinics and tried multiple prescriptions with little results and side effects that were hard to live with. I began thinking that just treating the headaches and migraines as the came along was going to be a part of my life from now on. However, this summer, I thought I’d try a few other options. After hearing some recommendations from family, I thought I’d try a chiropractor first. After giving Dr. Bruesewitz a call and hearing that his first consultation was free, I thought I’d give him a chance. When I arrived, the staff was very personable and helpful. Dr. Bruesewitz explained everything very well and made it a very easy choice. Since I have been seeing him, almost a month now, I have not had a crippling migraine and the frequency of my headaches have been drastically reduced, and when they do occur, they are less painful and are shorter in length. I highly recommend Dr. Troy to anyone who has trouble with headaches and migraines. Thank you very much.
After years of struggling with daily pain, Dr. Bruesewitz saved me! He repaired me! I already had surgery on a blown disc in my neck and the result was only more bulging discs and over 15 years of agony! For years I ignored all my loved ones recommending Dr. Troy. I couldn’t imagine driving to Burlington several times a week, as if that could possibly make a difference. As I prepared for two more surgeries for 5 more discs (including my L5 which was so blown I couldn’t even sit down!), my friends and family begged me to just talk to him. I finally opened my mind and heart long enough to just go have a consultation. It took all my MRIs and X-rays and I learned more about my body than ever before! At first he gave me hope, then after following his treatment plan for 5 months and putting all of my efforts and trust into his care, he turned me from a complete “non-believer” in chiropractic to a huge cheerleader and one of his biggest fans! I can’t thank him enough! Every day I bounce out of bed and I feel younger than I have in 20 years! I thank him and my son thanks him too! My son is the biggest recipient of my recovery and we couldn’t be happier! By the way, he gets adjusted too! We’re going to keep him healthy and “in-line” so he’ll never suffer the way I did! Thank you Dr. Troy! Thank you for repairing me and giving me the chance to be the Mom I knew I could be! Sincerely from the bottom of my heart and all the way to my L5!
~ Tres Lange Btw ~ I can't help but just smile every time all my friends and family (that you have saved too) give me the ole, "I told you so" speech. I'm living proof and live a much better life as a result of their prodding! I’m so grateful they never gave up on my closed minded thinking! I was one “hard nut” to crack, but thank you Dr. Troy for cracking me! Heheheh! Pun intended!
I began seeing Dr. Troy years ago when he was still in Wind Lake for occasional adjustments. One day I started getting severe pain that radiated from my lower back, down my left leg and through my toes. It was the most excruciating pain I had ever experienced! After decompression therapy and using the inversion table daily, I am now pain free. Thank you Dr. Troy for all you’ve done, and for helping me through a very difficult time in my life.
"Three years ago I was in a near-tragic automobile accident. My pelvis was fractured, my back was fractured, I had a bulging disc, my left fibula was fractured, my pubic symphasis was torn and I had lateral whiplash. Dr. Bruesewitz was able to see my back fracture on the original x-rays when medical doctors did not spot it--or listen to me when I told them my back was broken in the emergency room. A year after the accident, thanks to Dr. Bruesewitz discovery, I was able to find a medical doctor who would listen to me and took an MRI of my pelvis which showed the back fracture clearly. Once I was diagnosed properly, I had to have injections because decompression therapy pulled at my torn pubic symphasis. Between the injections and Dr. Bruesewitz and his skilled chiropractic adjustments, I am walking today without my wheelchair or a cane (for now!). The arthritis is setting in because the back fracture went undetected and may have healed improperly before it was diagnosed.
My lower back is unstable because of the location of my back fracture; therefore, Dr. Bruesewitz has been routinely adjusting my back whenever it gets out of line. The lateral whiplash is finally mostly under control because of his adjustments to my neck. The severe migraines are alleviated by Dr. Bruesewitz skillful neck adjustments.
Without Dr. Bruesewitz and his care my issues may never have been identified--or at the very least taken several more years to diagnose. It could have gotten quite costly because before I went to see him I was ready to go to Mayo Clinic--the medical doctors I had been seeing just weren't figuring it out or listening to me.
I owe a debt of gratitude to Dr. Troy Bruesewitz that there is no way to repay except to tell my story and say I THANK GOD FOR YOU!!!!!!!"
I regularly complained about my back pain to anyone who would listen. On one particular occasion, I happened to mention to someone that my back was killing me. I have lost 2 ½ inches in height…2 in the last 5 years. I said I had heard about a decompression procedure, but upon checking into it, found it too expensive. The person told me she went to Bruesewitz Chiropractic for treatment and decompression cost her very little. That very afternoon, I came in for an appointment. I there and then gave up on the chiropractor I had been going to for almost 30 years.
My initial evaluation and first adjustment were free. You don’t get that at very many other clinics. Dr. Troy then put me on the decompression machine and told me to come back with my most recent MRI.
I did so. Dr. Troy confirmed that my MRI showed what my orthopedic surgeon had told me. I was suffering from Degenerative Spondylosis and Stenosis of the spine. One disk was gone and two others were compressed as well. Dr. Troy can read an MRI as well as any medical doctor.
My medical specialist told me that surgery was out of the question. Too much of the spine was involved. He recommended epidural injections and pain medication. The injections (3 of them) didn’t work. The pain and discomfort were horrific. I couldn’t continue walking for exercise. I was questioning my quality of life…wondering how long I had to endure the pain I was experiencing day and night.
Dr. Troy put me on an intensive treatment program and within a few months my back pain diminished dramatically. In fact, I hardly notice any pain. I get a bit if I walk for a distance very slowly, like at a flea market, but that’s about it. On a recent trip down south, I mentioned to my wife numerous times, while constantly driving, how good my back felt.
I now come in for routine maintenance. If I feel the need for additional treatment or to get on the decompression machine, I just need to make a quick call and I’m readily accommodated.
Next on the list is the pain in my left knee. We’re working on it…

Dear Dr. Troy,
Thank you for turning my train wreck of a neck into a functioning, nearly pain free part of my body.
In May of this year, I walked through your doors not knowing what to expect. I was in tremendous pain from a herniated cervical disc. I couldn’t sit or walk without feeling like a hot sword was penetrating my upper back. I had been dealing with this waxing and waning neck injury for about 7 years; but this was the ugliest blow up I had ever experienced. Over the course of those 7 years, I had been to medical doctors, different Chiropractors, physical therapist, and a neurosurgeon. Each professional had conflicting advice such as: “you need muscle relaxers and rest”, “you need surgery”, “you have Fibromyalgia”, and “you should never participate in high impact activities again.” Although I had a prior unpleasant experience with another Chiropractor, I decided to see you because my friends had only positive things to say about your care and I was intrigued by your disc decompression unit. I knew I made the right decision when you provided a comprehensive, thorough exam. I was frightened to know that I had lost complete strength in my triceps; but, you took a great deal of time to explain my injury, how your treatments could help, and gave me a realistic outlook on the time frame to heal and the prognosis of my condition. Your palliative approach was unlike other Chiropractors I had been to. You were focused on reducing the spasms of my muscles before initiating decompression and aggressive adjustments to ensure a complete recovery. Your electrotherapy, roller beds, and laser therapy really eased my muscle tension and expedited my healing.
I am now 99% pain free. The hot sword is gone and the strength in my triceps has returned. I am back to enjoying and active lifestyle participating in volleyball and riding my bike. I have 9 pages to exercises, a posture pump, a posture pulley, and nutritional supplements to prevent this injury from reoccurring. The way you emphasize preventative care proves you are truly interested in my complete recovery.
I am incredibly grateful to you and your assistant Jennifer (she is so knowledgeable, friendly, and hard-working). It is nice to look forward to having fun appointments with people that truly care.
Thank you so very much for helping me to restore my quality of life without surgery. Your compassionate care combined with cutting edge therapy really provides a great benefit to our community.
I never thought I would experience a pain-free day again.
Nine years ago I fell and severely bruised my tailbone. As a result of that fall I have suffered with chronic neck pain for the last seven years. My regular doctor had me have and MRI. The results showed that I had a “bulged disc.” My doctor said it was caused by many years of carrying trays while working as a waitress. He said that surgery should help, but I was reluctant to go that route.
I’ve tried many prescription pain medicines but none gave me anything other than just short temporary help. I’ve seen massage therapists, acupuncturists and another chiropractor. These would maybe give me temporary relief for perhaps an hour or so. The excruciating pain was continually there, making me completely miserable.
At that point I decided to see Dr. Troy Bruesewitz and showed him the MRI that had been taken earlier. He stated that I had two herniated discs that were caused by my fall. After six treatments with Dr. Troy, I noticed a marked reduction in the amount of pain that I was experiencing. Within six weeks I was experiencing very little pain.
My first chiropractor did not offer or suggest the decompression method, which Dr. Troy has been using. I definitely feel that much improvement has occurred since I started this method of treatment.
I feel that Dr. Troy provides me with top quality care and has time to go over any questions that I may have.
Thank you so much for giving me back my pain-free days once again.
I just wanted to take a moment to say “Thank You!” for helping my husband, Mike. Without you, I’m not sure where we would be today.
As you know, it’s been one year since we first met with you. Mike had a bulging disc in his back and couldn’t sit, stand or even lie down without being in constant, excruciating pain. After standard Chiropractic adjustments & pain management treatments, he had been referred, by a different Chiropractor, to a back surgeon. During the consultation with the surgeon, it was decided upon that Mike was indeed a candidate for surgery & that we would “take care” of his back within the week.
Fortunately for us, a mutual friend informed you of Mike’s back condition. Upon our return from the surgery consultation, we found that you had left us a voice message urging us to at least meet with you before we went ahead with surgery. Because, once you have surgery, you can’t go back and what if it isn’t successful? So, I called you immediately & you were able to get him in the next day. What a blessing you were! We weren’t even aware that you had the equipment, specifically the traction table, in your office to help us!
Needless to say, a treatment program was implemented and Mike was on the road to recovery. We went from more than 2 months of him being laid out on his back 24 hours a day, not being able to hold our newborn baby, or hugging our older daughter, to living life again. Working, playing with the kids and just being able to stand or walk! We all take these things for granted, until it is taken away! Dr. Bruesewitz, you are my angel, along with your wonderful staff, because you reached out to help us & you gave me my husband back, my girls - their father. For Mike, you gave him his life back. We are forever grateful! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

Dear Dr. Troy,
Ever since my car accident in 1998, which caused temporary paralysis, I have seen numerous doctors and specialists with the same results - nothing. I was told by every healthcare professional that “there is nothing wrong” and they would send me on my way. I had seen another chiropractor a few years ago. He told me that I needed surgery to insert four medal rods in my spinal column to correct two curvatures in my lower back. I refused the surgery because I had a 50/50 chance of being wheelchair bound for the rest of my life. Needless to say, I began to accept the fact that I would never have any relief from my neck, back, hip and knee pain.
I was very reluctant to see you when a really good friend of mine referred me. I was afraid of hearing the same words, “nothing’s wrong,” or afraid of finding out the truth behind my condition, but I made myself go.
My first day, I was very impressed with the variety of equipment that you provided for your patients, as well as your patience and thoroughness during my assessment. When it came down to the final results, all I could do was cry. You broke down each section of my spinal column and explained the reasons why I was in so much pain. I didn’t realize someone with all these problems would be able to be helped, though you reassured me that the majority of my pain could be alleviated. My X-rays showed Frontal Head Posture, compressed discs with limited to no range of motion due to fixations throughout my spinal column, a curvature in my lower back, a herniated lumbar disc and posterior rotation in my right hip. This was when I realized that I let this go too long.
During the course of treatment, we experienced a lot of ups and downs. There was a few discouraging moments when I was not responding to the treatments, but you never gave up. You persisted, and remained confident. If I wasn’t responding, you remained optimistic and tried different techniques until something would work. There were times I wanted to throw the in the towel and say, “I’m done, I can’t continue with this anymore,” but you would not let me give up. You kept encouraging me to stick with it until the end.
Well, the end is near and I have never felt better. Starting with a pain score of 9 out of 10, I can proudly say that I am now at a 1 and working on a 0. I can now enjoy life without feeling pain. Life has never been better and I have you to thank.
Thank you Dr. Troy for giving me my life back!!! Sidy Andaluz
Dear Dr. Bruesewitz and Staff,
I can’t thank you enough for all you have done for me! I am so happy after just a few visits with the results of Dr. Bruesewitz’s spinal manipulations, the massage and decompression procedures.
The nerve that was jangling like a cell phone on vibrate has been reduced from an “all the time” situation to a very faint tingling only after a whole day of activity Now I can consider postponing or entirely removing the epidural injections that were prescribed for my bulging disc!
Other chiropractors’ adjustments to my neck for the whiplash were causing me severe migraines; Dr. Bruesewitz’s adjustments are curing these migraines.
I am thoroughly impressed with the care I am receiving from the entire staff, and will be recommending your services to everyone I meet.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

I’ve had back problems for 10 years now. I’ve been to several different doctors and been through several different kinds of treatments with minimal results. It got to the point where I started to believe that Chiropractic just didn’t work. Then I herniated a disc in my low back and was in so much pain that I had to try Chiropractic again. I had heard good things about Bruesewitz Chiropractic so I called and they squeezed me in right away. Well, after a few weeks of therapy, traction and massages (which I highly recommend) I feel better than I have in a long time. Dr. Bruesewitz hooked me up to his new computerized traction table. I have no doubt that most of my success came from this new traction bed. None of the other doctors I’ve been to had anything like it. I sleep better; I don’t wake up with a stiff back anymore and I just plain feel better. I have no doubt that it’s due to the traction and other treatments provided by Dr. Bruesewitz and his staff.
The other thing I noticed about Dr. Bruesewitz and his staff is that they really care about their patients and take time to explain the treatment plan (which no other doctor I have been to had done).
So if you are like I was and thought that Chiropractic just didn’t work for you, give Dr. Bruesewitz a try. He made a believer out of me. I highly recommend anyone with persistent back pain to give him a try. I’m glad I did!

I HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FROM LOWER BACK PAIN MY WHOLE ADULT LIFE. I WAS ALWAYS SEEING ANOTHER LOCAL CHIROPRACTOR. HE WOULD DO HIS ADJUSTMENTS, ICE, AND HEAT, AND SEND ME ON MY WAY. Though it helped, it never got rid of my pain 100%. I just learned to accept the fact that my back would always be a source of pain.
Then in October, 2004, I herniated a disc in my lower back. That caused a condition called sciatica. Never in my life have I been in so much pain. Literally paralyzing. I couldn’t walk, stand, or sit. The pain going down my let was so intense; it was like a bolt of lightening constantly. My old chiropractor had me get an MRI. After getting the results back, he recommended I see a neurologist for back surgery. That was his answer to my problem. He didn’t offer any other possible solution. My back was screwed up enough. I didn’t need some doctor slicing me open and cutting around my spinal cord with a scalpel. Too risky, and I could just imagine the recovery time and missed work.
Then I called Bruesewitz Chiropractic. Troy looked at my MRI and x-rays with me, and explained to me my options. He told me about his 3D active trac and that it is made to relieve pain from herniated discs. If it could help me without surgery, it was definitely worth a try. After about two weeks of seeing Troy at his office, the results really started showing. I was back on my feet and back to work. Within a couple more weeks I felt completely healed. I am still seeing Troy occasionally, just to make sure my discs fully recover. I am confident that the decompression of my spine and discs was the proper way to treat my condition. It’s been four months since my injury, and my back is better than ever. It hasn’t felt this good in twelve years. I’m back snowmobiling and doing everything in my life that I enjoy. I highly recommend Bruesewitz chiropractic to everyone, because he is very thorough, genuinely cares, and takes the time to make sure you get the best possible treatment.
About 3 months ago, I injured myself at work, and figured it was another, typical, muscle injury. I tried the ice and moist heat for a while with some relief. I then figured I had better see my family physician. He prescribed muscle relaxants, and said to keep up the moist heat. The pain turned into a complete, falling asleep, sensation throughout my entire arm. I decided maybe it was time to try a chiropractor. I was reluctant because I’ve heard good and bad rumors. Dr. Bruesewitz met with me and came up with a treatment plan to try. After about 2 weeks of treatment the sensations went from, 6-8 times per hour, to 2 or 3 a day. He then recommended a
MRI to be done. On my own I called a neurologist and set up an appointment. The neurologist also recommended a
MRI and EMG. After the tests, the neurologist told me all of my symptoms were caused by carpal tunnel. He prescribed some “neuro” medication, (which I never took), and recommended surgery. I disagreed, and tried to tell him I did not believe that was the cause. He basically shrugged me off and said we could schedule and appointment for surgery if I wanted.
I brought my results to Dr. Bruesewitz and he immediately pointed out a bulging disc in my back. The neurologist said it was not bad enough to worry about, and when it got worse, to come back for surgery. Dr. Bruesewitz pointed out that the bulge was right where my nerve runs through for my arm. He recommended traction for a week and a muscle building program to strengthen the muscles surrounding that disc. The results were fantastic! I am still in treatment, and the sensations have disappeared, WITHOUT, any medications for once. I’ve also enjoyed working out on the ROM machine so much, I’ve decided to keep it up and get back in shape! I just wanted to THANK you, Dr. Bruesewitz, for your great care, and your staff, Stephanie and Julie, for their kind and courteous help . Keep up the great work!!!
I came in a few months ago with a horrible neck injury that occurred at work from shoveling snow. I had torticollis with a good chance of a herniated disc. I came in to your office unable to move my neck at all. I was completely stiff and the pain was so bad that tears filled my eyes. You were able to get me in right away and begin fixing my neck pain. For this I am very thankful. The procedures done relieved my pain in a matter of days. I was able to turn my head, drive again and perform regular activities that were nearly impossible before your help. The decompression therapy was a miracle. It worked wonders on my pain. You suggested some healthy ways to exercise and keep myself pain free. The glucosamine and natural herbal remedies really helped during my process of recovery and I still take them today. You and your staff were kind and helpful every time I came in. Today I am virtually pain free. I am able to stand straight and sleep at night without any pain.
A big THANK-YOU to you and your staff for making my life livable again.
I awoke one Monday morning with my neck in severe pain. In the past I had experienced similar discomfort after sleeping wrong and assumed that this time was no different, that later on in the day I would feel better and be into work the next morning.
I was wrong. By four o’clock that day I was in more agony than when I had awoken that morning. I didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t take another minute of pain this severe, let alone an entire night. It felt as if someone was jabbing an ice pick through the muscles and into my spine. By this time, what doctor would still be in the office? What doctor would even be free right now? I liked through the phone book for chiropractors, barely able to concentrate on the pages before me. Then one stood out; their hours went late into the evening. Perhaps they could fit me in.
Although we arrived late, he was extremely kind and begun treatment immediately with state of the art equipment. As I had no experience with chiropractic treatment, I had no idea what to expect. He seemed to sense this and made me feel completely comfortable- as comfortable as possible- and brought a major amount of relief immediately. He made every effort to ensure that my neck would not be strained in any way as he determined the specifics of my injury. The x-rays showed just how badly the vertebrae in my neck were misaligned. He showed me what was wrong with my neck and indicated what it should look like. Indeed it was surprising I hadn’t been in sooner.
Upon the completion of my initial treatment, I felt a vast amount of relief from the pain which had very nearly drove me mad just a few hours earlier. I cannot imagine what I would have felt if I had delayed my phone call to his office. The night would have been unimaginable agony. He supplied me with a device I could use to deaden the remaining pain. I used this device almost non-stop for three days. I also left with a cold pack and a neck brace, both indispensable at this point. He also helped me work out a way I could sleep at night, a welcome escape.
Over the next week, my pain lessened with every adjustment. Dr. Bruesewitz fit me into his schedule to my convenience every day, appointment or not. By the end of the week, right on schedule, it was gone. I found it amazing that someone knew so well how to end so much pain so quickly. His treatment saved me a great amount of suffering that would no doubt have been the result of so many other types of treatment. His expertise and professional manner quickly and accurately solved this problem with absolutely no guesswork or experimentation. In addition, he supplied me with equipment and advice to ensure this problem would never again occur. I use this equipment and heed his advice because if I had not walked through the doors of Dr. Troy Bruesewitz’s office, I would have had a far longer, stonier path ahead of me.

I’d like to thank you and let you know how much I have appreciate the care that you have given me as a new patient.
I came to you with a chronic history of back pain. At times so bad I had to hang on to furniture and door frames to get around. I took prescription medications plus OTC drugs to ease the pain. I had pain down the sides of my legs. I tried to work with my doctor to eliminate drugs that might produce those side effects but after a few months it was clear nothing was making sense, so I was sent for an MRI and then to a neurosurgeon who wanted to operate on my back. I refused to go in that direction. After a few more months of pain and a desire to be able to travel without pain, I went to a chiropractor for the first time in my life. My initial pain was alleviated, but then I developed sciatica plus other related problems.
I began experiencing pain in my right shoulder and other pains in my hips when walking. The treatment that I was receiving no longer seemed to be helping, so I went back to my regular doctor. He sent me in for more tests. This time it was an EMG, a painful test done with needles. It proved I had a pinched nerve but still no relief in sight. I decided I wanted to try the pain clinic. My MRI had expired so I had to have another one which showed that I now had two herniated discs plus the pinched nerve. I was sent to another surgeon who gave me medications that made me ill, was told to lose 30 lbs, was prescribed physical therapy and steroid injections (which were not effective, but raised my blood sugar), and I was sent for diabetes counseling. By now I was having spasms down the sides of my legs and was not able to sleep at night due to the intense pain. I dreaded going to bed. The pain injections at the pain clinic had an adverse affect on my heart, making it pound too hard so I stopped the treatment.
I also had an MRI on my shoulder and was told by an orthopedic doctor that I needed surgery for a torn rotator cuff. That surgeon also had surgery only in mind. The second back surgeon never got back to me and I began searching the internet for help and stumbled upon the idea of traction and found a couple of doctors in this area that do traction for herniated discs, but I did not want to travel out of town. It was at this point in time that I saw your ads and decided to try you, Dr. Troy, and your computerized pneumatic traction table while still under the care of another doctor.
Dr. Troy, you were so caring and just did everything in your power to help alleviate my pain. You started on my back with adjustments, traction and soft tissue massage but soon discovered I had a painful shoulder also. You began working on that with ultrasound, massage and compression of trigger points for Myofascial Pain Syndrome. I had never heard of this pain before and was truly amazed at the results of your treatment. You healed my shoulder and it is now pain free. Mechanical massage beds with electrodes, ice packs, adjustments, ultrasound, massage therapy, herbal supplements, laser treatment, electro-therapy, a “tens unit,” computerized traction, inversion therapy and eventually the ROM (Range Of Motion) machine are all part of the treatment that are helping me begin to sleep without pain. I am not out of all pain yet, but we are still working on it and I know it can be improved if I continue to work with you.
I thank God for finding you and your healing hands. I thank you, especially, and all your staff for making it a good experience.
Dear Dr. Troy,
Thank you so much for giving me my life back! Before I came to see you, I was in constant pain and my regular doctor had referred me to a surgeon. Having what I consider to be failed back surgery when I was just 23 years old, I dreaded going through that process again.
After about 20 visits with you, my back pain has gone away and I am able to resume with my life again. Your staff was a pleasure to work with. I own a carpet cleaning service and I am now able to go back to work with the complete use of back.
Once again, thank you so very much for all of your help!

“I met Dr. Bruesewitz this year at the Waterford Home show. I had a lot of questions about chiropractic care, and he took the time to answer them all. I told him how I’ve suffered from lower back pain, mid back pain, and headaches for years. When the pain would get to be unbearable, I would see a doctor, who would tell me it was just a muscle spasm and prescribe me some kind of muscle relaxer and painkiller. I decided that it couldn’t hurt to see a chiropractor. I met with Dr. Bruesewitz and told him I’ve always suffered from back pain, and can’t remember the last time I slept through the night. After reviewing my x-rays, we set up a treatment schedule that I couldn’t be happier with. He made a very good point that got my attention at one of his classes. He said that physical problems require physical answers. Meaning that I didn’t need to ignore the pain with medication, but attack the problem hands on and hopefully one-day be pain free. I know longer rely on medicine to get me from day to day. I’m still very early into my treatment, and know that it’s going to be quite awhile until I won’t need treatment as often, but I’m very pleased with the results I’ve seen so far. I would like to thank Dr. Bruesewitz and his wonderful staff for their assistance in getting me on the road to being pain free.”
Hi Dr. Troy,
I thought I would drop you a letter to say Thank You for all you do. The newsletters you send out are informative and have some interesting articles.
But I really admire all you are willing to do to help people, not only your patients (like the food drive). You go out of your way to help people to get treatment even if they can not afford it. Too many persons in the medical field seem only to be in it for the money. Please stay they way you are now. I think you are great just the way you are. Keep up the good work, and I hope you have a very successful practice.
Have A Happy Holiday,
My lower back has been bothering me for quite some time (approx. 4 yrs). In July 2005 it became so bad that I couldn’t get out of bed without rolling onto the floor first, then grabbing something to pull myself up.
There was no way I was going to be able to work like this, so I decided to see a chiropractor before a general practitioner. Surgery was not an option until all other possibilities to relieve the excruciating pain I was in was exhausted. I have never been to a chiropractor before so I didn’t know who to see. I opened my phone book and my finger came down onto Bruesewitz Chiropractic and I made the call.
After my initial consultation and X-rays, Dr. Troy Bruesewitz was under the assumption that I had herniated a disc in my lower back and requested that I have an MRI done, which showed my L-5 disc to be blown out.
After reading testimonials from other patients who had herniated discs, I had full confidence in Dr. Bruesewitz and went forward with a treatment plan to help repair the damage in my lower back.
My treatment plan included structure manipulation, therapy, and pneumatic traction on the 3-D Active Trac machine, better known as “the rack”.
Six weeks into my treatment I was able to return to work with some physical restrictions. About a month later I was back at full duty doing my regular job.
Thank you Dr. Bruesewitz. Your knowledge, ability, and equipment has helped me down a road to recovery from the worst pain I have ever experienced.
I can’t thank you enough.

I suffered from severe low back pain after I was injured at work in early March of 2005. I was referred to Dr. Troy Bruesewitz by a close friend and he discovered that I had 1 ruptured and 2 bulging disc in my low back. Needless to say I was out of commission and not able to work.
In the past I have seen other Chiropractors but this time seeing Dr. Troy was my best decision. He had experience with treating patients with herniated discs and had the necessary equipment at his office (decompression unit). After speaking with him I felt confident that we could get me back on my feet. After going through treatments for 5-6 weeks I was able to get back to work and haven’t had a problem ever since.
Thank you Dr. Troy and your staff for getting me back on my feet again.
My name is Zach Martin. I was severely injured during a football game and was told there was a chance I may never walk again. But by the next month, my neurosurgeon said I was able to play basketball. The last game of the season, we were going for first place, (we never lost a game) and I twisted funny and re-injured my neck and back.
I decided to see another neurosurgeon. He claimed that if I re-fractured the tip of my thoracic bone in the region one area, that I would need surgery. No surgery, but I was given pain medication, a soft collar for my neck and a cane to help me walk. There was no explanation for the pain I was going through or the numbness I had. The doctor told me just to give it time, and it would eventually go away.
We had heard about Dr. Troy Bruesewitz and decided to try him. I feel like I’ve never injured myself and I am going to be playing football again this summer!
I am an avid softball player and enjoy many outdoor activities. Several years ago, I began experiencing back pain and it was limiting the activities in which I could participate. A year and a half ago, I fell while rollerblading and severely hurt my lower back. I knew I should see a chiropractor, but I was worried about the cost and how effective one would be. After nearly a year of severe lower back pain, I knew I would have to visit a chiropractor. I stopped in Dr. Troy’s office to see what may be the problem. Turns out I have a Spondylolisthesis. Doctor Troy came up with a treatment plan that included therapy, adjustments, my back loosened up and I had a decrease in pain. My road to recovery is not complete, nor is it easy. There have been many flare-ups, but the whole time I have noticed a gradual decrease in my lower back pain. There is no way to fix a Spondylolisthesis without surgery, but with Dr. Troy’s help, I am waking up pain free and am starting to resume many activities that pain prevented me from performing before Dr. Troy’s treatment.
During the whole process, Dr. Troy was, and continues to be, accommodating and always places my needs above all else. Troy Bruesewitz is knowledgeable, kind, honest, and has gone out of his way to make sure my lower back pain is eliminated.
Thank you for all your help
My name is Denise Leitz, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia seven years ago. During the past seven years I have been able to treat my pain with the help of vitamins and supplements, however this past summer I once again had terrible flair-ups. Summer is usually my best time of year but this past summer I found myself taking prescribed narcotics for the pain every four hours around the clock. A friend suggested I go see Dr. Bruesewitz. Dr Bruesewitz strongly suggested I start taking OPC-3. It was a miracle! Within three days I was down to two pain pills a day, and within a week I was pain free. It made such a difference I still can’t believe it. It worked marvelously. If you would like to hear it from a believer, call me.
Thank you so much Dr. Bruesewitz!
Dear Dr. Troy:
I first came to you for back problems in March 2008. I had had many sessions of therapy at the hospital after which I was told they had done all they could for me. I was also going to a chiropractor and he told me he had done all he could for me. My medical doctor then sent me to a Spinal Surgeon and he told me I had two options. One was surgery and the other way pain pills. Since he could not assure me that the surgery would help me, that was out of the question. He prescribed a pain pill in which I took for a few months but I had terrible side effects and my medical doctor took me off them. My nephew told me that a friend of his had been helped by your treatments for his back problems and I immediately call for an appointment. Your treatments have helped me tremendously for which I am extremely thankful.
Along with the treatments you suggested I take OPC-3 as well as two other supplements. The OPC-3 not only helped my back problems but also got rid of the warts I had around my fingernails. I had warts around my fingernails for at least 25 years and I had seen at least three dermatologists who tried different treatments to no avail. Some of the treatments were very painful. I never told you about the warts until one day I realized they were gone. Needless to say, I was very pleased as the skin around my nails was becoming badly damaged.
Thank you very much for the help you have given me for my back and for suggesting I take the OPC-3 which I am still taking.

We started using PetHealth OPC Formula about 6weeks ago on two of our Salukis-one that is suffering from some kidney issues and the second one who is battling dry eye. The Saluki with the kidney issues was going out to relieve himself every 2 hours. Within a week, he was able to hold it for about 6-7 hours and now he is able to go 9-10 hours without needing to go outside! His attitude has also changed-he acts like a 1 year old again (he is almost 10 years old) and runs around playing constantly! It is so nice to see! The female battling the dry eye was given PetHealth OPC Formula in her food. She is slowly getting better. For awhile we stopped giving her the PetHealth and she quit eating completely. When we began the supplements again, she started eating again with vigor and determination!
Thank you for this amazing product! Our Salukis thank you as well!

On February 10, 2009, I injured my back at work lifting luggage. After seeing a couple doctors and being sent back to work, I determined my back wasn’t right. I saw an ad in my phone book for Dr. Troy Bruesewitz and I thought I’d give him a try.
My first visit February 27, 2009 I could hardly sit still in the chair my sciatic nerve was painful from the right buttock down to my toes where a few toes were numb. Dr. Troy assessed my condition and said it was probably the L5 disc. He ordered a MRI on March 6, 2009. Yes, it was a herniated disc and sciatica.
Dr. Troy started me on the roller bed with electrodes, adjustments on my back , spinal decompression and laser on my back. After about 28-30 visits my sciatica was going away and my back was feeling better.
On April 19, 2009 I started back to work on light duty for three weeks, May 10, 2009 I returned to full duty at work and still saw Dr. Troy once a week for treatment.
I am so glad to be free of pain with the help of Dr. Troy. His staff was always friendly and cheerful. Towards the end of my treatments I was given a rehab program to strengthen my back muscles. I am happy to say I made the right choice to see Dr. Troy for my injury and I am back to work pain free.
This letter is for all the potentially new patients sitting in the waiting room watching the video on disk decompression.
About a year ago I was experiencing severe lower back pain for which I spent a lot of money seeing a chiropractor out of the area. After about 6 months I had absolutely no relief whatsoever. He did however recommend me to Dr. Troy. My pain at night was to the point I could not find a position for which to lay and sleep.
I set up a consult with Dr. Troy and he suggested a 10 week program, 3 times a week. He helped me sign up for the care credit to help pay for the therapy.
From the beginning to the end the staff, especially Jennifer, helped me feel at ease with my anxiety and pain. If you are considering the decompression I strongly recommend it. Over a year later I went from a pain scale of 10 to a 1 or none on occasion. At this point I am virtually pain free with fairly regular maintenance you can too. Still a loyal patient.
